Roe Jan Flora
A survey was conducted by the Participatory Natural History Survey Group in 2008-9 of all the wild plants in the Roe Jan Park. This was an initiative of the Farmscape Ecology Program http://www.hawthornevalleyfarm.org/fep/index.html of Hawthorne Valley Farm. It is extraordinarily comprehensive, and we are indebted to Claudia Knab-Vispo and Conrad Vispo who spearheaded this. Of course, plant life is not static, so this will need to be updated periodically, but for now it can be an extremely useful guide. The plant list is keyed to a map of the park. Please download and print the map and the plant list for the next time you come to walk our trails!!
